Color selection is what makes painting projects true works of art. We can work with you to select the colors that will best complement your decor, lighting, and lifestyle.

If choosing paint colors seems to be a challenging task, let us assist you in planning a great color scheme for your home or office.

We will take the time to thoroughly look at your furnishings, listen to your ideas, and understand your preferences before we narrow down your selections.

Color consulting services include:

  • Super size color cards of final paint color selections

  • Paint schedule of the final color palette, indicating paint colors, products, sheen, and placement in your home.  Preview a sample paint schedule from one of our recent projects.

Wall Color(photo on left): Benjamin Moore "Monroe Bisque"

The color in the photo above (BM "Monroe Bisque") is what most people have in mind when wanting a subtle "buttery" yellow on the wall.  Small samples are misleading since this paint color doesn't appear to be very yellow.  Yellow is the first color your eye sees, so it is much brighter in large areas than it appears to be on the small sample card.

I have an extensive selection of large samples to assist in  making paint color selection.  If I don't have a larger sample, I will order and have them mailed directly to your home so that you can be sure of your selections before the project begins.

Blues that lean more to the green side on the color wheel are some of my favorites because they work well with both traditional and contemporary styles.

Photos just below show Benjamin Moore's "Atmospheric" from their Affinity Color Collection in this timeless bedroom and bath design.

However, at the bottom of this page you will see a bathroom done in the same color in a contemporary design...nickel finishes, expresso wood tones.

Newly-installed crown molding adds a nice finishing touch to rich red walls. This red works great with both the warm orange tones of the cabinets and the gray countertop.  Matte finish provides stain resistance and washability without the shine of an eggshell or satin finish.

The furnishings and wood tones in the photos below were best suited to a beige that had more red tones.

Lighting is very important with these "pinky" beiges. Cool toned CFLs take out the warmth. Better to use a warm toned light. Soft white compact fluorescent bulbs are now available.
